Why not payza!? loool loool. Anyway URPad downtime and support is radiculous. Reboot take 2 hours at least. Support take 3 hours. Loool…

    • Amore,

We do accept PayPal. Please select “PayPal ~ Credit Cards” in the invoice. After doing that you will be redirected to our partner, 2Checkout. On the top right, please ensure the currency is set to USD. After that, continue and on the 3rd screen you will find the option to pay via PayPal.

Funny how I could not find an “Amore” as a customer in our database, also if you were an actual customer you would know that we offer SolusVM where you can reboot your OWN VPS without contacting support. Additionally, you would know that we guarantee 30 minute response times to all technical support inquiries.

Please validate yourself, what is your past paid invoice ID?

      Best,
      Kevin

Hey, is xt_connlimit and xt_conntrack modules enabled on your openVZ Servers? One of my friend said that it wasn’t. Not sure why it wouldn’t be. Probably the best way to prevent script kiddies from crashing a server.

    Just curious, Thanks :)

      Hey,
That is some serious speed there. A really good value for just $6.

Going to sign up after my dinner :D I will post a review of my experience too. Can anyone here tell me if the VPS’s support Tun/TAP modules and if I needed extra IP address what will that cost?

      September 8, 2012 @ 5:24 pm | Reply
      • Hi Huibert,

Tun/TAP modules can be enabled via the VPS control panel instantly, the VPS itself comes with 1 IP address. If you require more just contact our sales department, we charge $1.50/m per additional IPv4 address.

        Kevin

I have had an Urpad account since their last LEB offering.

    My credentials: urpad631088

Urpad pwns. Period. Good prices, good service.

They even moved the server to Luxembourg at my request, free of charge. It took less than a day.

The server is actually used for VPN, MX and DNS, I have a Debian Squeeze FreeNX server there that I use to maintain and update my other servers (8 low end VPS used as part of an SEO network) and I have to say that Urpad is ROCK FU**ING SOLID. I leave the VPN connected 24/7 and even with the high bandwidth usage of the constantly updating server monitors on the VPN desktop they have never complained about any of the high load.

As far as I know in the entire time I have hosted with them, they have rebooted the server ONE TIME.

Their support might be good, I don’t know, because I have NEVER EVER had to submit a ticket other than the request for the Luxembourg move. NOT EVER. How often does that happen?

I have been building websites for money since 1997, and I can honestly say that Urpad is one of the best hosting services I have ever used.

For the money, they are unbeatable.

If anybody here wants to call me and ask for a referral, my phone number is USA 256-525-2312.

Yes, they are that frikkin good.

Urpad seriously rocks my socks, and anybody on here being a “hater” has got their cranium wedged in their colon.

(No needed to buy any hosting yet). And I made a support ticket and they got answered quickly, I actually made 2 or 3 if I remember correctly.

Just a quick update, one my friends is on there 512MB VPS, and setup a simple forum running “FluxBB Software”.

    The link is: http://173.254.246.196/forum/index.php

The IP is from URPAD if verification is needed. You’re probably wondering whats the point? Well, the speed! Click around the forums a bit and it will feel like you’re running this puppy on localhost. I know fluxbb is pretty lightweight, but try it with phpbb3 or any others, the performance is very good. Just wanted to give you all a heads up how fast their servers actually are.

    Have a wonderful day,

Overall the first location I selected was slow and laggy, but Kevin quickly got me moved over to there Los Angeles location on another node and I had no further issues. Had one or two small outages, but VPS was fast and generally ran pretty well. Overall a pretty good and I’m happy with the experience I had there.

  23. I had a very bad experience with urpad.net, and Kevin Hillstrand specifically.

Before I signed up, I sent a pre-sales question asking if the additional IP addresses I ordered could be issued in non-sequential order, and if they could also verify to me that they would show up as New York IP’s when doing a geo-location lookup. Kevin replied that the IP’s would be issued out “randomly”, and that the host was indeed in New York, so I ordered.

The IPs were given in sequential order, and the geo location was from kansas, not what they told me in the pre-sales question.

I opened a support ticket, and Kevin replied that I must be trying to spam people or I wouldn’t care about the specifics of the IPs, and refused to give me a refund even after I cancelled service the same day; and, the killer part is they have a huge banner on their home page that says 30 day money back guarantee!

After threatening to do a charge back on my credit card Kevin sent me an email agreeing to give me a refund, and said he would have it processed within 3-5 days. It’s been over a month now and now refund, but he has tried to re-bill me 5 times for the hosting service that was cancelled the same day I registered it.

I needed geo targeted IP’s for SEO purposes, not spam, but I shouldn’t really have to defend myself… The bottom line is I wasn’t happy, they mislead me, I wanted a pro-ration of the days not used (none were used), and Kevin basically told me to fuck myself.

Worst $30 some dollars I’ve ever invested… I can’t really comment on his servers or up time, but I can say that the owner of this company is a douche.

“Anyway, a refund request was sent to 2Checkout. Your VPS will cancel midnight and the refund will be processed within 3-5 business days, as 2Checkout processes refunds manually.

We recently tried to rebill your recurring order 4756300363 for URPad.

    for the following items:

However, paypal declined the transaction for the following reason:

10417 : No Valid Funding Source

2Checkout will attempt to bill this recurring order again on 2012-08-29.

    Thank you,”

    • $33.72 exactly that Kevin ripped me off on…
Lied about the service, lied about the 30 day guarantee, then lied about giving me a refund…
Lied, mislead, obfuscated, whatever… same thing…

      September 10, 2012 @ 5:49 am | Reply
    • Hi Gino,

Would appreciate it if you didn’t twist up the story here and make things seem highly dramatic than reality, you were provided a full refund like promised, and I can confirm that the $33.72 order was already refunded.

The specific transaction you just posted (4756300363) relates to a $5.72 order, completely unrelated to the $33 order.

Did you request a cancellation for the $5.72 order? From what I see on our end, you only canceled the $33 order, unless I’m overlooking something. And that is fine – the $33 order was canceled and refunded appropriately like promised.

In the meantime, I’ve stopped recurring billing for 2CO Sale #4756300363 (the $5.72 order), but will look into this more tomorrow morning. Anyway, you were not incorrectly billed at all for the $5 recurring sub.

      Have a great night,
      – Kevin

What number did you call from so I can review our phone call logs? While sales is not 24×7 on phone, support is. You may email me the # at kevin@ftnhosting.net so I can review our logs.

We also guarantee a 30 minute response time to all technical related inquiries via email/helpdesk.

A search in our database yields many “Jason” but absolutely NO “Jason Raiz” – please validate yourself by providing a past paid invoice ID or post your VPS IP.

Unfortunately your claims just don’t ring true at this time, please validate yourself first and we can go from there to see what really happened.
