Interestingly, Delimiter USA has servers in Germany — or at least their website is hosted there. Domain has been registered since July this year (and last updated yesterday!) so pretty new setup.
Now the dirt digging part. The domain was registered by “Dann Fry” of “Victrola Vision, whose previous venture, VictrolaVision.com, has domain registered in March to provide some kind of hosting, but has already defunc. So was his previous venture “Valentrinne.com”. Update: According to Dann, the two domains were related to his web design show cases and have nothing to do with web hosting.
Well. The website looks decent. Hopefully it will stick around a bit longer.

I did some research, and hopefuly, if I’m right, they rent their boxes from Hetzner.de – who offer i7 servers from just 49€ a month (expensive setup though), it explains why the prices are reasonable. How ever, I did not like the fact that it is not clearly stated anywhere on their websie that their servers are located in Germany… Fortunately, this is an advantage for me, latency wise anyway, since I’m from Spain
Anyone got a VPS/Dedi box from them? How good is their support, uptime, security protection, etc?
Despite the advertisement that they offer an “unmetered” connection, they seem to have a bandwidth limit after which your VPS is limited…
I along some other customers are waiting for our VPS’s to be setup. Aparently, they got some new servers today in ‘their datacenter’, which just left me thinking…

Posted updated reflecting what has been said here. Dann — having blogged about this end of industry (cheap virtual servers), excuse me for being investigative and suspicious on new providers. There are just way too many that have grabbed the money and run.

I think it’s a scam. I’ve signed up this weekend and have not received any notification. I’ve just checked my paypal payment and found that the email of the seller is djorlovsky@gmail.com. It also sets a periodic payment on your paypal account so remember to cancel that.
Well. We’ll see. I was a bit sus on this shop at the beginning but Dann emailed me saying that everything is legitimate. We’ll see.

Just to keep things straight, the above comments concerning downtime are about one of our VPS nodes, which has been troublesome over the past few days. At one point the whole network was down briefly, but that is resolved now, and the issue is isolated to the single server. We’re working to fix it with the ISP, and in any case, new signups at this point wouldn’t be on that server anyway.
Also, we’re not a scam.

I just got access this afternoon to my VM with Delimiter USA. It seems to be quite good. Latency is a little high between Australia and the German server, but speed is pretty good, and is defiantly acceptable for my requirements.
I’ll keep updating here (and on my own blog) as I continue to use this provider.

Having just signed up 2 days ago, I was suitably concerned. However, having read the following thread about a previous aquisition by the same company: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=901172 (read through all three pages of the thread) my fears have been eased a little. We’ll see what happens.
Looks like burstable memory is no longer actually available on my node. It was there until an unexpected shutdown that corrupted a DB table and is now not available. I’m writing these guys off as a waste of time and money.
My vps is down ..also the fluid vm is down ..hopefully it will be up shortly..
@picks It will be up eventually. According to the tickets I’ve seen they are trying to fix the ongoing problems. Personally, I had *zero* problems until the buyout.

They ditched Fluid VM, from what I’ve heard… That might explain the downtime… switching over or something.

yes, several days ago thay changed from fluidVM to new panel. server was down more than 24h.
same problems with delimiter again.since yesterday, absolute no support.
At this moment ping of my VPS is 2000-3000 (usually around 40-50).
Have you tried emailing the transition email they sent out to you? I emailed them and got a response within the hour, which is unusual given my timezone (GMT+1030 Australian Central Daylight Time), usually I have to wait until the next morning.

VPS is back to normal since last night. but to much problems and i lost some of users
So i have decided i am going to Ded server.
I canceled my service a few weeks back and even had a reply from them on the ticket. Today they charged me for another month of service. Not cool.
I have canceled also my VPs and didnt receive any refund as they dont refund any payment. so be avare
@kresko: Was the refund request for a partial month or did you cancel and they billed you again?
i have asked refund for 1 complete month and other partial ( as VPS is used for 8 days, 5 days with problems).
I have swiched to different company,also at same DC, if you like contact me and i will send you details.
Just received this as a response to my refund request for what they charged me *today*:
“You were a customer of the previous owner of Delimiter. You need to contact them for a refund. We have recommended that customers simply go to their paypal account, locate the transaction and add a dispute noting that there is an agreed refund. The previous owners have been attending to the matter very promptly.”
Delimiter.us or whoever they call themselves now WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY and will not honor cancellation requests. Sign up with them only if you want to be screwed.

Paypal request for refund initiated last Friday with no response. I’m not waiting for them to blow me off again so I escalated it to a full Paypal claim. This is a pretty crappy stunt to pull. I hope the new owners realize that refunding the money would have caused a lot less damage to their (already crappy) reputation.
Well… Right now my VPS got suspended and my client area account deleted for no reason at all, with out previous advice and having a few days left before next payment. Thank you for giving me a reason to think Yomura Holdings are very unprofessional. If anyone else knows another VPS provider in Germany, similar to Delimiter, please let me know about them.

Hi, i dont want to promote any company here, but here it is. I have come accross trex-host.com . Well they were unknown to me but i decided to give it a try. Pretty fast setup, no downtimes or any other problems for now.
Thanks for both of your recommendations, I really appreciate them both. I have read very good reviews about Linode, but I’m afraid it just simply goes over my limited budget
Same story with trex-host, damn. Are you sure they host in the same DC as Delimiter? I haven’t seen any option to choose Germany from, although I haven’t looked further than the VPS plans. Also… I really regret posting the comment above regarding Yomura Holdings, I have managed to get intouch with several reprentatives and they are trying to assist me at the moment, luckily, response times are very quick!

Well, I have good news. Delimiter’s staff, or Yomura Holdings, have been extremely cooperative and have helped me through every step to get all my services up and running again, and therefore I doubt I will be switching host, yet again, thanks for your recommendations!

Ok so it looks like VPS10 became VPS20 and jumped 50% in price while VPS50 jumped 40%.
I believe that’s what happened. Also: Their 50 MB test file, I downloaded it to my server (US-Based) and I got Speeds of 10 MBps +. The problem was, it took about 6 seconds to download, so I couldn’t judge much. But good speeds, nevertheless.
