VPSRepublic - $3.50 OpenVZ VPS with 128MB RAM

VPSRepublic.comVia this offer on WHT, VPSRepublic has some some amazingly cheap VPS deals, starting at $3.50/month (!!). You get

  • 128MB guaranteed / 256MB burstable memory
  • 1GB storage
  • 75GB monthly data transfer
  • OpenVZ
  • Debian / Ubuntu / CentOS / Fedora / Gentoo / OpenSUSE

Their standard plan also fits into the criteria at $5.50/month with 256MB/512MB of memory. Their servers are at KevWorks in Los Angeles. Not sure about the control panel but as their site is hosted on an LxAdmin host, I presume it would be HyperVM based. Their domain was only registered early this month so caveat emptor. You can find out more about the owner by googling around.

Wierd tht is. they officially told me they closed down and was going to re-open with a more “enterprise-level” market, meaning they wernt going to be so cheap, guess the host went on some kind of rampage and could nt take customers complaining about downtime.. so closed it down but got bored of having nothing to do and re-opened. lol

Yes, they cancelled my account all of a sudden and said they were shutting up shop. Even if they are carrying on I think they have convincingly proved their unreliability enough to make me not want to return.

Echoservers.com bought VPSRepublic from the old owners.

The site is now online and accepting orders once again. They were getting DDoSed attacked that is why the network kept going down.

The old owners have moved on to other endeavors.

    Kind Regards,
    Jesse

The “someone-else.com bought our-vps.com” is a very limited excuse for not providing the service that only works the first time over.

Mind what happened with VPSEmpire, now VPSRepublic and guess the future.

There are times where people get fooled.
This are times where people who want to get fooled get fooled.
