LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.

You can install any software but nothing illegal and no IRC
The chinese section seem likes a real person made which is readable, not like a machine translated.
:) Yes indeed a real Chinese person we have for live chat support who lives in Shenzen though nower days she is sick so told me that can’t work for a week or so.
Do you provide ticket support in Chinese?
We do have a Chinese native in our team but as she informed us that she was sick and thus for about a week now we couldn’t provide any Chinese support. We are looking for a solution at the moment. Though you shall expect the worst for at least another week more.
Regards

Too much Turkey based VPS companys on lowendbox in the last time.
Hello Christian,
We began as based in Turkey in 2009 and we recently got a new office in Goshen / Indiana USA so we changed ouraddress on our investlion site to the one in USA. Altough we still do pay Tax back in Turkey its just a matter of time and procedures to complete which we estimate untill the end of March we will move completely to the USA location and close our Turkey office completely. Though we will still have Turkish talking sales rep for our Turkish customers.
How so? Do a search on Turkey only 3 turns up. Anyone else I have missed?
Who cares where they are located, is the service good, buy it, is the service bad, don’t buy it, but there is no room for prejudice, ever!
I think some people might have impression that non-US/non-UK or non-western country-based services might have higher chance of doing a runner. Scanning through our past dead pool providers and it is clearly not the case.
Hello LowendboxAdmin,
We see this as a great opportunity for Flipper Host and would like to thank you for having us listed on lowendbox.com

I was looking for a budget VPS plan and having read this thread I thought I would give it a go and ordered their service 3 days back. Here is my feedback
There customer support is excellent. I had no idea of using a VPS before, I had only used cpanel at the max so I was not sure how it will work. I did told them and they said that they will be able to help me out if I get stuck somewhere & honestly they have kept their word, every time I faced an issue they were polite and helped me out. They have installed klexo for me so I can manage VPS via browser. Plans are pretty cheap. I haven’t done any speed test or anything but they seems fast. Will update again once my complete site is migrated to VPS.
So far it is a very decent experience.
Thank you for your feedback and letting others know about your experience with us Sam.
How is that most of these VPS ask for a domain? Do they mean that you need point a subdomain you own to the VPS so you can access it, or they’re asking you but a domain from them?
Thanks!
We do not ask any of our customers to buy a domain from us nor from any other company. Rather the clients usually comes to us and asks how they can get ns1 and ns2 for their and that how they could point their domain dns to their VPS and how they could setup their dns settings at their registrar. It seems mostly first time VPS buyers are looking for these information and we just try to help them get answers to their questions as we wouldn’t know what they’re trying to do with their machines.
Actually, our VPS s are strictly unmanaged and we highly recommend for those who do not know how to manage a VPS to read and research the internet for tutorials to learn how to manage it and buy only after they are convinced that they can manage. Otherwise they just sometimes aren’t able manage their VPS and we are to blame.
It’s because WHMCS is setup to be used for shared hosting where that information is needesd, not a VPS where it’s usually not.
Where is $3.00 vps, jsut increased to $3.95? What a shaddy people.
$3.25 now
The service from this vendor has been OK (not quite “good” – we don’t rate higher than “good”).
We found it necessary to remove the VPS from service on several occasions when the service was experiencing significant packet loss. Without going into too much detail, on occasion appeared to be a technical glitch. Another was, based on information from the vendor, due to a DDoS attack attracted by the activities of a customer.
Communications with the vendor are excellent, someone is almost always available by chat allowing instantaneous access to information about operational issues.
Connectivity is via DIME exchange, which is served by Level(3). Florida.
We recommend this vendor if you can tolerate the extra supervision required to deal with events such as those noted above. The price was very low for us, which may be some compensation over time.
