They got some popular Linux distros as well as Windows Server 2003, although I think it will be next to impossible to run on 128MB of memory. 64MB KVM is also an option at $5/month. “Unmetered bandwidth” is a bit ambiguous, i.e. how fat is the pipe? On this WHT post last month it mentioned 100Mbps uplink, but again I have no idea how saturated the pipe is. Servers in Tampa FL with Hivelocity (test IP: 96.31.74.168).

Domain was registered in 2005, although Way Back Machine have archived it as a dating site back in 2006. WHOIS info leads to a hotel in Pakistan.

James’ thread on WHT described why Quality Servers was launched — together with BuildAVPS targeting two different segments of VPS market. However it appears both QuickVPS and BuildAVPS are redirecting to QualityServers now. However from previous posts on QuickVPS James does seem to run a good shop there.

It did not state that you need to buy the control panel, but rather buy any VPS with control panel (which DA comes for free) — thus also qualifies the $6.30/month VPS for free Softaculous? Not that I use any control panel so those would be no use for me, but in theory they might need to honour DA + Softaculous from their ad write-up.

Server in Tampa FL. No control panel at the present. Domain has only bee registered since 27 May 2009 so it’s indded a “launch sale”. The owner’s blog is not even handling the HTTP requests properly…

No word on the virtualization technology so I assume it would be OpenVZ based (as HyperVM supports either OpenVZ and Xen, and Xen is more tedious to setup). Their website is hosted on a Solar VPS server in New York. No idea where their VPS are so let’s assume it’s in the same DC. The VPS are at Tampa FL (thanks to Adam’s comment).
