Just found another low-end/cheap VPS provider. HostInEuro has a low end plan “VPS 50″ that’s 4 euro a month which gives you:
64MB guaranteed memory/256MB burstable
2GB storage
50GB data transfer per month
OpenVZ
CentOS, Debian, Fedora Core, Suse, Ubuntu, Gentoo
From the “About Us” page it looks pretty well established. The servers are in Avaya Databurg Datacenter in Frankfurt, Germany.
Via FreeWebspace, Welcome2Inter.net has this OpenVZ VPS for only €3.99 per month (around USD$5.87), and it comes with
64MB guaranteed memory
128MB burstable memory
1GB storage
1mbps unmetered bandwidth
Debian, Fedora, CentOS, Gentoo, OpenSuSE, Ubuntu, or Slackware
Server is in Germany. We should expect more low end VPS from Europe as the unmetered bandwidth is so cheap there.
I don’t speak German, but at least netdirekt’s budget dedicated server page is populated with figures that I can understand. For 19€ (~$28 USD) you can get
Pentium III 733Mhz
256MB memory
10GB storage
500GB monthly transfer
3 IP addresses
Debian Sarge
Server in Frankfurt/Main Germany.
VPS4Less.de has a minimum OpenVZ VPS package that starts at €3.99 per month (or $5.82 at the time of writing), and you get:
64MB guaranteed memory
256MB burstable memory
1GB storage
2Mbps unmetred (600+GB per month)
Fedora Core, CentOS, Debian, OpenSUSE and Ubuntu
DC is in Germany I believe.
