Website is full of 404 links, with ordering links for Web Hosting and Reseller Hosting that go nowhere.

No wonder WHOIS info is masked. I’ll be too embarrassed if it wasn’t.

Corgi Tech Limited are a registered company in the United Kingdom with Company No 7719404 (incorporated July 2011), and it’s address is clearly stated out in the website footer. However domain was somehow masked.

I think the company is too new to have a solid review. VMWare, however, makes it an interesting offer as one of previous VMWare provider, eNetSouth Cloud, just went to the dead pool for this month.

Carstensz Pyramid Server is based in Indonesia and has been in business since 2007.

The only difference is that it’s now available in either France (OVH) or the Netherlands (Evoswitch), where you need to choose on the sign up form. They have been around since June 2011. See previous post where Wesley posted some benchmarks, although most comments were around Cameron (the owner)’s age. It was started from an SA:MP gaming community from what I’ve heard.

Ken from UptimeVPS pointed me to their October offer on WHT. For €3/month (~USD$4.02), you can get the following VPS:

However on the sign up page, Scranton in US is also an option. ~USD$4/month for a 1024MB OpenVZ node — that’s indeed quite cheap.

What interested me more, however, is their current special offers. €5/year (~USD$6.70) for a 128MB OpenVZ VPS?! By the time you click through the ordering link it actually shows up as €10/year (~USD$13.40) for 128MB memory, 128MB vswap, 10GB storage and 100GB/month data — which although is still cheap, it’s just comparable with yearly offers from other providers. 96MB got their reviews here, and from their previous offer here, people are sceptical but quite a few people are happy with the performance and service.

We’ll see how things turn out.

Up2VPS, from their previous posts, don’t really have the best comments and reviews on LowEndBox. However we can’t deny that they are cheap though, and people do come here solely looking for cheap VPS :)

Nice looking jQuery-based website that still seems to have a few issues (clicking on VPS Starter Plan comes up with VPS Basic Plan, for example). AUP is also no where to be found.

In my last domVPS post, both “Sam” and “Christopher” have also defended Cameron’s age by saying we should not judge someone’s ability by how young they are. True. I guess I just want to say — when I am picking a hosting company, owner’s technical ability is only a small part of equation. Mental maturity? Registered company that’s hopefully insured for public/product liability? Aiming for longevity of the business rather than quick growth and quick sales?

Although I’m not saying the non-teens are better. Heaps of grown-up scammers leaving their sinking boats in the dead pool here…

Fionn from Byte Bistro emailed me to have their service listed on LowEndBox.com. Their Xen VPS plans start at $3.95/month for 256MB “Appetizer” instance, or $6.95/month for “Main Entree” that comes with

The domain was created less than 2 weeks ago, registered by Cameron in UK, who also owns No1Servers. No info on either domVPS or No1Servers on WHT — which can be a worry to me. Facebook entry for Cameron also brings up a picture of a young kid (what’s with young-male-teens-in-UK and VPS hosting?!!!). Hmmm.
