Proaxxs Web Solutions Via this WHT offer. Proaxxs Web Solutions is a long-established web hosting company (since 1999, according to their about us page), and they have some specials on their Linux VPS products this week. The Linux VPS Starter Promo starts at $6.99/month, or $72 if you prepay for the whole year (listed for $12.99/month on their website). You get:

  • 512MB guaranteed memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • 2 IP addresses
  • 500MHz CPU guaranteed
  • OpenVZ/vePortal

The “guaranteed CPU” should tell us how many VE it crams into a physical server (2-3GHz/core on 4x or 8x cores for example), if it is really meant CPU guaranteed rather than CPU limited. 3 DC according to their about page again, although their website is hosted in Phoenix AZ.

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
  • Akismet is used for spam detection. Quoting webhostingtalk.com URL seems to get binned consistently here, but I do peek into the spam box frequently to publish those comments.
