David, from OrbitServers, has emailed in his first ever LowEndBox offer. He informs us that they’ve “worked closely with Colocrossing to expand our services to the VPS market.”

OpenVZ – 1GB VPS

  • 1024MB RAM
  • 1024MB Burst
  • 2 CPU Cores
  • 25GB Raid 10 Diskspace
  • 500GB Bandwidth
  • 20Mbps Port Speed
  • 1 IPv4 Address
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM
  • $5.95/Month – Coupon Code LEB113
  • Order Link

OrbitServers are owned and operated by MPSERV LLC, a two year old company which appears to provide hosting solutions to a gaming clientele. They’re using nodes configured with the E3-1240v2 3.6ghz quad core processor, 32GB RAM and which have 4x 1TB Western Digital drives in Raid 10. By using the above coupon, you will save an additional 10% off the monthly price. The OrbitServers domain has only been registered for three months. MPSERV seem to be very active within the Mineacraft community. I managed to find these reviews for you. If you do purchase one, do keep us informed!

For now, they only accept payments through PayPal. They offer a ’5 day refund policy and customer satisfaction guarantee’. You may cancel your service and request, and receive, a refund within 5 days for any reason. Quite a lot of things seem to be prohibited, including, but not limited to: Resource intensive Game Servers, IRC, Proxies and Warez. For a more detailed look at what is or isn’t allowed, do take a look at their Terms of Service.

    • Hi,

That’s 20Mbit/s, however if you email me after ordering at jonathan[@]mpserv[dot]net I’d be happy to upgrade you to 100Mbit/s for free providing you’re not an abuser.

      Thanks

I went through the order link and located the OpenVZ orbit VPS 1gb, i went through the sign up procedure, but i could not find the choice to add cPanel/WHM. Does this server allow reselling using cPanel/WHM license for VPS?

    • Vivek,

We do not provide cPanel licenses for VPS customers, you would have to purchase that from someone such as LicensePal – however within our VPS control panel we do have a CentOS template with cPanel already installed so its very easy to get going.

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
  • Akismet is used for spam detection. Quoting webhostingtalk.com URL seems to get binned consistently here, but I do peek into the spam box frequently to publish those comments.
