@comment1 - drmike, Google Apps does have a pretty decent uptime record, probably much better than a mx handler running on one single box - plus they have a paid option, so it could be that

I know. I was just supporting the the memory amounts that hosts set their systems to shouldn't be used as a yardstick.

The differences between the advert copy should though. We had another one like that a few days ago I believe.

No. I wasn't referring to the amount being 200MB -- after all it's just a container and the provider can set whatever weird number that's not a power of 2. I was referring to the amount being inconsistent on the setup and offering page.

While I agree with the differences being a sign, I don't think memory amounts can be a good sign of dodgyness. I know in my own servers, we use 12 gigs of memory, 2 sticks of 2 gigs and 2 sticks of 4 gigs. 12 gigs of memory is not something found is most servers. (They originally had 4 gigs each. We got a deal on the 4 gig sticks. We just added them in. What else we going to do with the 2 gig sticks?)

@JC -- yes I have noticed that as well, as it says 256MB on the WHT offer page, but only 200MB in the order page.

I guess that's another +1 for dodgyness?

I have used for a month only. They setup wrong spec for the VPS I ordered and never fixed it before I switch to another provider.

Well, they still not get this fixed. Just check the link on WHT talk at the beginning of this post. and http://ideastack.com/vps.html and you will see the in-consistency of spec.

I was ordered the gold plan by the way.

Gotta admit that I'm looking at the MX records myself for the domain. Looks like they forward to gmail.com or whatever that service from Google is. (I forget it's name.)

The glue not being set is also an issue with me. Looks like it's supposed to be using nameservers from verygoodserver.com which is a blank page. Hmmm....
