DMEHosting DMEHosting has recently updated their VPS offers, and their OpenVZ products are now listed under their Budget Linux VPS lines. For $5.95/month, you get:

  • 256MB guaranteed/384MB burstable memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 700GB/month data transfer

Servers are in Denver CO. They are also doing instant provisioning.

    Apologies for bumping this oldie.
But it looked liked a better option to me than asking this in a post about another hosting company.

I asked DMEHosting’s sales staff many pre-sales questions.
Which were answered pretty fast and comprehensive too.

My only doubt is the HyperVM Power Panel they use. I didn’t bother asking their sales because I already know what the answer would be.
    Is HyperVM safe nowadays ?
Off topic : I heard they are also hosting (part of) LxLab.

What I’m really looking for is a 1GB Xen VPS with a fast processor and fast internet connection, no Control Panel, command line is fine.
But Xen is not a must, just a preference.
I really like the specs of the Xen VPS’s from PhotonVPS but their production servers are on the West Coast.
Since I’m in Europe, the connection is laggy due to many hops (not their fault or problem of course).
I need something on the US East Coast, roughly in the middle of Europe and the US West Coast.

    Anyone ?

Forgot to add that DMEHosting now added Chicago (FDCservers) and Scranton (Burst) to their NOC lineup.
Is anyone using them out of one of these ?
